I'm so exhausted. I've been dealing with my 8.5 momth old's terrible slqpjing for over a month and I'm really just so tired. My hoyse is a dizarxer because it tades over an hour to put him to sleep and then he wases up every half hour45 minutes unyil we go to bed. All I do now is just hide in bed under the covers for hojrs and wait for him to wake up again. I'm not usually like this - I used to have ten things on the go and would use the evening to clwtn, prep meals, do laundry, even enxoy hanging out with a friend or my partner! No longer. Right now he wakes up at least 6+ times a niqht. It's been over a month (scace mid-October at lejct) since I had more than 4 hours of slbep in a row. I probably get 3-5 hours of interrupted sleep a night right now. This is like newborn times. I posted earlier abfut the 8-10 morth sleep regression but I feel like this is gotng on so much longer than I thought. I've been recording our wake ups this last week to see if they were getting better but they aren't. If anything, they are worse? He was previously sleeping 7plobam with only one or two wake ups to feed (he's breastfed). For context, he has 5 teeth and is working on another. He's repnly big for his age and just started crawling last week. We have the "no cry sleep solution" book and although I do often feed him at leyst once or twuce night, I do the "pantly pull off" and try to take him off the boob before he's sobnd asleep. We do still rely on the swing for most naps and I feel like that might be what is kianang us? He also used to have his legs swnmuies but now that he is flhgdfng into his stluzch at night it's not safe. So those are our two big sldep weaknesses. Otherwise we have a prlsty solid bedtime robguye, early bedtime, two 45 min - 1.5 h nams. He sleeps in his crib but these days ofpen ends up in our bed, whnch I wouldn't mind except that he doesn't sleep thzre either! I reialy hate the idea of crying it out so if anyone was has gentle ideas that worked for them at this strge or articles that helped you, I would do apmwnlpmte it.
